In Part 5, I talked about the benefits of Affiliate Marketing.
Affiliate Marketing is right for just about everybody. Even product creators adopt an affiliate strategy to complement the product development branch of their business.

This is what is so deceiving about successful entrepreneurs.
It looks so easy!
It doesn’t look like they’re working hard or doing anything out of the ordinary. You watch the YouTube videos and it looks effortless. Their lives look like one long holiday, hopping from country to country.
Truth is that’s the wrong perception.
It’s never highlighted how many hours they’ve put in over a long time. It’s not glamorous to show that.
You don’t see their business plans. You don’t see how many outsourcers and employees are working in the background. You don’t see their meetings with mentors and coaches.
Don’t be fooled by what you see. Understand the principles of successful businesses and the habits of successful entrepreneurs.
Then model it.
- Work on the right mindset
- Create your business plan
- Do your research properly
- Learn the skills required for success in this business
- The focus of your business is to generate profits
- In the beginning, it will be an active business income because you’ll probably be doing all the work. As you achieve success, start to scale, and automate, your income could become more passive.
- Find a mentor to guide you. Pick one that’s done it himself and knows the path. If you want to check out my mentor, you’re welcome. If he’s the answer to your needs, fine. If not, then that’s fine too.
The most important thing is that you set yourself up to be a successful entrepreneur. It is just so much easier when you have a mentor helping you.
It’s easy to start an online business. However, don’t be fooled and think it’s easy to achieve success.
There are many successful online entrepreneurs. Set yourself up for success by modeling what they do. They’re proof it can be done. There’s no reason why you can’t be successful like them.
Brian Tracy explained investing in you as “Personal development is a major time-saver. The better you become, the less time it takes you to achieve your goals.”
The faster you achieve your business goals the faster you make money and profit.
I know many people who just want to have things free. They are not prepared to pay anything to improve their lives.
They would search on Google and YouTube for information. Granted, you may find tons of useful information on the internet.
The problem with this attitude is that it holds them back. Their progress is slow because they have ‘no skin in the game’ and no focus.
If you want people to see you as a leader, then you need to first lead yourself.
If you don’t invest in yourself, how will other people invest in you? If you don’t pay money to acquire skills, how are you going to convince people to pay you money to help them acquire skills?
It’s about the freedom of the W’s…
Whatever. Whenever. Wherever. Whoever. hoWever (it’s the third letter, lol).
If you want to build a long-term business that allows you to have a lifestyle consisting of doing whatever you want, when you want and how you want without worrying about how much it costs, then you need to invest in yourself.
That’s the freedom that money and success can buy you.
It’s already proven that the more knowledge, value, and experience you can share with your subscribers the more money you will make.
It’s a simple formula of Learn – Teach – Earn.
How can you learn more about what you need to do and take action on what you already know?
The answer is simple …
Invest in yourself because successful people invest in themselves and their business.
You probably heard people say ‘your business will grow to the extent that you grow’. That’s because every level of business size requires different skills.
It is one thing to run a start-up, a $100 000 business and another to run a $1 million business or $10 million business.
In other words, you are the ceiling in terms of your business growth.
When you invest in yourself, you will raise your value, which in return, will raise the ceiling on your income which allows you to make more money.
The one habit that the rich people have in common is that they never stop learning.
Let’s talk a little bit about those ‘haters’ that every successful person encounters. Injuries are part of any contact sport, right. In the same way, haters and naysayers are part of any successful person’s life.
As soon as you become successful and stand out from the crowd, you will attract some jealous people who will judge you and try all sorts of things to pull you down.
Realize that it’s never about you, but about them.
This type of behavior usually comes from people who:
- Don’t improve their lives
- Are looking for shortcuts that don’t exist
- Blame other people for everything that are wrong instead of turning an inward eye
Don’t get upset with people like that. Get to the point where you don’t care about people with that attitude.
Care about what you do and the people you want to help.
It’s not easy but you need to understand that business is about how you manage your energy and time.
You don’t have energy or time to waste on people who don’t deserve your energy and attention. Focus your attention and energy where it matters in your business.
My philosophy on this issue about ‘haters’ is a simple two-step process … Bless them and then block them.
Success comes to people who invest in themselves. Every level of business requires different skills.
Therefore, your business will grow to the extent that you grow. In the process, you will come across naysayers and ‘haters’ but don’t waste your precious energy on them.
Save your energy and focus on investing and growing your dream life to have choices about the W’s in your life. That’s freedom.
In Part 7, I want to talk about why you need mentors to speed up you’re your success and prevent failures.
